Role Overview
As part of our Business Development function, you will lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing Lead Generation and Energy Consultancy team, driving the creation of new business opportunities to support the significant growth of our commercial Solar PV offering. This is a hands‑on leadership role, responsible for delivering sales performance, enhancing team capability, and embedding a consistent, high‑quality consultative sales approach across all customer interactions.
Key Deliverables
- Support the Sales Director in delivering both team and individual sales targets.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Energy Consultants and Lead Generators to maximise performance.
- Conduct regular 1‑2‑1s, coaching sessions, and performance reviews.
- Drive outbound and inbound lead generation activity (calls, email, digital channels), converting cold prospects into qualified opportunities.
- Monitor and optimise pipeline performance, conversion rates, and key sales metrics.
- Foster a high‑performance, engaged, and results‑driven team culture.
- Plan and execute sales campaigns, incentives, and activity strategies.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and continuous team development.
- Develop and maintain strong market awareness across our solar energy products and renewable energy sectors.
- Develop cross sell and upsell opportunities across DCC.
- Oversee complex customer conversations and support closing opportunities where required.
- Implement quality assurance measures to ensure consistently high customer standards.
Experience (What I Have Done)
- Proven experience within a B2B telesales or lead generation environment, operating within a structured sales methodology (prepare, approach, discover, present, handle objections, close, follow‑up).
- Experience coaching, mentoring, or leading a sales team to achieve and exceed targets.
- Strong history of managing performance through KPIs, call monitoring, and structured reviews.

- Knowledge of sales pipelines, conversion metrics, and CRM systems.
