The PR & Communications Officer will play a critical role in strengthening SNAP’s brand awareness, reputation and perception across Europe. Building on the strong momentum the marketing team has already created through earned media coverage, this role will be responsible for developing and integrating PR strategies across multiple European markets. The role will ensure SNAP has a consistent, credible and compelling presence across trade, regional and national media, while supporting wider brand, marketing and commercial objectives. Alongside external communications, the role will own customer newsletters and contribute to internal communications, including intranet updates, key announcements and internal storytelling. This ensures messaging is aligned, timely and relevant for both external and internal audiences.

Working closely with marketing, leadership and external partners, the PR & Communications Officer will help position SNAP as a leading voice in European mobility, transport and payments. This is a hands-on, in-house role with direct responsibility for planning and delivering PR and communications activity across European markets, owning strategy and execution end to end.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver an integrated PR and communications strategy that supports SNAP’s brand awareness and perception goals across Europe.
  • Build on existing earned media success to grow coverage in trade, regional and national press across priority markets.
  • Identify and secure proactive media opportunities, including commentary, features, interviews, thought leadership and news led coverage.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to develop clear messaging, narratives and spokespeople positioning.
  • Prepare and support senior stakeholders for media engagement, including interviews, commentary and external communications.
  • Ensure consistency of brand voice and messaging across all external communications.
  • Collaborate with wider marketing teams to align PR activity with campaigns, product launches, partnerships and business priorities.
  • Manage reactive media enquiries and support issues management where required.
  • Monitor and report on media coverage, sentiment and share of voice, using insights to inform future strategy.
  • Take ownership of evaluating the effectiveness and quality of PR activity, using insight to continuously improve coverage relevance, consistency and impact.
  • Stay up to date with media landscapes, industry trends and competitor activity across European markets.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in PR, communications or media relations, ideally within B2B, technology, transport or payments.
  • Demonstrable experience securing earned media coverage across trade, regional and national press.
  • Experience developing and delivering PR strategies across multiple European markets.
  • Strong understanding of brand, reputation and media management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with international stakeholders is advantageous.
  • Language skills are advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong planning, reporting and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel occasionally in support of PR activity and SNAP’s international presence.
