About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Automation Analyst to join our growing digital transformation team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting, monitoring, improving, and expanding Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions across the business.

You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of existing digital workers, minimising downtime, supporting business continuity, and identifying new opportunities for automation that improve efficiency and productivity. Working closely with business stakeholders, SMEs, IT teams, and external RPA partners, you will act as the bridge between operational teams and technical delivery functions. This role offers the opportunity to influence how automation is adopted across the organisation while helping to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Automation Support & Monitoring
    • Monitor and support existing automation processes to ensure maximum uptime and business continuity.
    • Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve automation issues and exceptions.
    • Escalate outages and communicate effectively with stakeholders throughout incident resolution.
    • Coordinate with business process owners to implement contingency plans when required.
    • Liaise with RPA support partners to manage incidents and service requests.
  • Continuous Improvement & Process Discovery
    • Identify opportunities for automation and process optimisation across the business.
    • Analyse existing processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Engage with stakeholders to understand workflows, challenges and automation opportunities.
    • Support the development of scalable solutions using RPA technologies and system integrations.
  • Testing & Delivery Support
    • Create and execute comprehensive test scripts and test scenarios.
    • Support Unit Testing, System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
    • Work with SMEs and stakeholders to ensure automation requirements are fully validated and documented.
    • Log, track and manage defects through to resolution.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Act as a key liaison between business users, RPA developers, support partners and IT teams.
    • Communicate technical issues and project updates to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Provide hypercare support following automation releases and platform upgrades.
  • Governance & Reporting
    • Maintain automation documentation, knowledge bases, incident logs and process records.
    • Produce reports on automation performance, uptime, efficiency gains, cost savings and error reduction.
    • Promote RPA best practices and support wider adoption across the business.
    • Ensure compliance with internal standards, governance requirements and regulatory obligations.

About You

You are a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional with a passion for process improvement and automation. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy solving complex operational challenges.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience working with Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting automated processes in a business environment.
  • Strong business analysis, process mapping and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience gathering requirements and working with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong documentation, testing and reporting experience.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycles and Agile methodologies.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience with Blue Prism Cloud, Work HQ, Microsoft Power Automate and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Knowledge of API integrations and enterprise business applications.
  • Experience delivering or supporting enterprise-wide automation programmes.
  • Previous experience within business transformation, operational excellence or process improvement functions.
  • Knowledge of CODAS and related business systems would be advantageous.
