Responsibilities

  • Conduct literature searches to identify in vitro articles relevant to the database from multiple data sources.
  • Curate preclinical (in vitro) drug metabolism and transport study data from literature and regulatory drug approval documents into the Drug Interaction Database platform.
  • Extract key information such as in vitro metabolism and transport kinetic parameters, inhibition and induction parameters, and experimental conditions.
  • Perform the above tasks consistently and with high quality, following the established database SOPs.
  • Conduct data analysis and summarise the results in various formats such as summary tables and reports, when needed.
  • Contribute to scientific publications and poster presentations, when needed.
  • Participate in DIS consulting and user support activities when required.
  • Work independently in a remote team environment, actively contributing to the database quality management system on a continuous basis.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and initiative to learn and contribute to projects outside of previous experience, when required.
  • Continuously update scientific knowledge, maintaining an active interest and awareness of new research and technologies relevant to the field, learning emerging concepts and approaches in the field of drug metabolism and transport, pharmacokinetics, and drug-drug interactions.

Qualifications

  • MS with at least 3 years of experience, PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences (or equivalent), or degree with at least 4 years of experience (Research Scientist); MS with at least 5 years of experience, or PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences (or equivalent) with at least 3 years of experience, or degree with at least 6 years of experience (Research Scientist II).
  • Preferred experience in the areas of drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics, drug interactions, and literature review.
  • Previous wet lab or bench work experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of drug metabolism, drug transport, and pharmacokinetics fundamental concepts and drug development.
  • Previous experience in modeling and simulations is a plus.
