Its clients include more than 2,000 biopharmaceutical companies, academic institutions, and regulatory agencies across 62 countries. In the past 6 years, over 90% of companies that received new drug approvals by the FDA used our software or services. We collaborate with partners to use biosimulation and technology-enabled services to innovate drug discovery across all therapeutic areas.
We are seeking a Senior Scientist with experience in pharmaceutics/biopharmaceutics, primarily working on oral absorption physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modelling. Candidates at different levels may be considered.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will join a team of around 7 scientists involved in researching, developing, specifying, and testing new software features related to simulating drug product absorption and bioavailability within the Simcyp (Biopharmaceutics) Simulator. Emphasis will be on developing and disseminating case studies demonstrating the performance of these tools. Experience in pharmacokinetics, drug bioequivalence analysis, and hands-on use of PBPK software is advantageous but not essential.
The role also involves providing ongoing customer support, education, and training on the use of the Simcyp PBPK Simulator, including acting as a tutor at workshops. Knowledge of oral drug absorption mechanisms, drug delivery, and impact of quality attributes on performance, with a willingness to expand expertise. Strong communication skills demonstrated through presentations, publications, and interpersonal skills.
DesirablePractical knowledge of in vitro drug release/dissolution experiments. Knowledge of PBPK models and their industrial/regulatory use. Understanding of R&D processes in pharma companies.
