UX Designer

Certain Advantage is hiring for a UX Designer for a Fintech client in Chester. The role is on a permanent basis with excellent benefits.

The Role:
We’re seeking a UX Designer to craft, refine, and enhance engaging customer experiences across my clients’ digital platforms. You’ll play a key role in designing, developing, and optimising user journeys for a range of customer-facing websites, apps, and bespoke digital experiences

Key Responsibilities:

Design intuitive, user-centred experiences across web and mobile platforms.
Create wireframes, prototypes, and interactive mock-ups to visualise and test concepts
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality digital experiences.
Use design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch to produce visually engaging and functional interfaces.
Analyse user data, heatmaps, and session recordings to identify opportunities for improved usability and conversion.
Plan and execute A/B tests (using tools like Convert) to validate design decisions and optimise performance.
Map and refine customer journeys to remove friction points and enhance engagement.
Advocate for accessibility, inclusivity, and UX best practices throughout the design process.
£32,000-£40,000 DOE, plus yearly bonus.
Working hours are 8.00am-4.30pm Monday to Friday This is a hybrid role, 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.

The individual
We’re looking for people who have:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in UX Design
A creative problem-solver with a passion for enhancing customer journeys and user experiences.
A strong advocate for user-centred design, with a curiosity to test, learn, and continuously improve.
Confident in presenting ideas, gathering feedback, and collaborating across teams to refine solutions.
Experienced with A/B testing tools (e.g. Convert or similar), heatmapping/session tools (such as Microsoft Clarity, Hotjar, or FullStory), and analytics platforms (like Amplitude or Google Analytics).
Solid understanding of UI/UX design principles, supported by a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
Hands-on experience with front-end development or creating UI animations (e.g. via LottieFiles).
