Certain Advantage is hiring for x5 supply chain planners based in Peterborough on a 6-month contract basis.

For the initial training period (approx. 3 weeks) candidates will be working onsite 5 days per week. After that this will become a hybrid role (3 days per week onsite).

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning and maintaining daily Supply Chain operations in one or more functional areas such as materials, production, inventory, logistics, demand management or order fulfilment.
  • Analysing and interpreting Key Performance Indicators to identify areas for improvement and action plans.
  • Executing the daily operational planning process within a specified functional area.
  • Identifying potential supply chain failures as part of the planning process and mitigating associated risks.
  • Working closely with stakeholders - internal and/or external to develop short term tactical improvements.
  • Using the planning system to drive consistent planning signals across the supply chain.
  • Participating in functional process improvement teams.

Experience with SAP would be advantageous but is not essential. Experience within a manufacturing supply chain environment would be highly beneficial; however, experience in the automotive sector is not required. Strong Microsoft Excel skills are required. Full training will be provided on Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems and Master Production Scheduling (MPS) systems.
