AIT Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) Engineer based in the Stevenage area. This role is on a contract basis and is site-based.
The Company: We’re working with a Manufacturing business that operates in the Aerospace sector. They design, manufacture and deliver industry-leading commercial aircraft, and separate Space and Defence division.
The Role: This role is for an AIT Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) Engineer —someone ambitious and ready to make an impact. You’ll be results-orientated and driven to succeed. You’ll be working in a small, experienced, and collaborative team, and be responsible for:
- Maintenance and fault finding of electronic/RF test racks.
- Computer systems and networks administration.
- Programming and scripting languages.
- Environmental and launch test campaign.
- Preparing test specifications for test racks, reviewing data packs from suppliers, and supporting reviews of test equipment design and non-conformances.
The Individual: We’re looking for people who can show:
- A degree in an Electrical Engineering related discipline or relevant experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of electronic and RF test racks.
- Fault-finding skills down to board and component level.
- Network and computer administration in Windows and Linux environments.
- Knowledge of interfaces such as Mil-1553, SpaceWire, CAN bus, RS232/422, etc.
- ATE environments such as PCI, VXI, PXI, etc.
- Use of a variety of general-purpose lab test equipment.
- Knowledge, design, manufacture, and commissioning of test systems.
