Certain Advantage is hiring for a Rope Access / Construction Estimator based in the UK – ideally in the Southeast. Full training will be provided in Estimating, provided you possess a background and understanding of rope access, and your IRATA L3 or L3.

This role is permanent and can be office-based, hybrid, or predominantly remote, with travel to site when required.

This is a rare opportunity to move into estimating, supported by a company delivering major structural engineering and rope access projects across the UK. Their teams work on landmark assets including national stadiums, power stations, museums, high rise structures and complex industrial facilities.

The Company: We are working with a leading specialist in structural repair, inspection, and maintenance, using advanced rope access methods to deliver complex projects. Backed by a major engineering group, they are well established and involved in some of the most recognised projects in the country. This is a supportive, stable team where you will receive training in estimating, commercial processes and bid preparation, and give you a clear route forward.

The Role: This is an estimating role focused on structural rope access projects. You will take responsibility for pricing enquiries and tenders, supporting the business from initial enquiry through to award and handover.

Day to day you will:

  • Review tender opportunities and assess suitability against business capabilities
  • Prepare estimates, pricing, bids and offer letters
  • Attend site visits and client meetings to understand scope and methodology
  • Work closely with operations, H&S and commercial teams
  • Produce tender stage documentation including programmes and supporting information
  • Provide rope access insight on techniques, work methods and materials
  • Support improvements to estimating accuracy and processes
  • Carry out full handovers to operations after project award

The Individual: We are looking for people who can show:

  • IRATA Level 2 or Level 3 experience
  • Strong understanding of structural, civil or construction works
  • Insight into rope access delivery methods, risks and constraints
  • Experience on site
  • Commercial awareness and good attention to detail
  • Confident communication skills and the ability to work with clients and internal teams
