Certain Advantage is hiring for a Senior Design Engineer based in the Derby area. This role is on a permanent or contract basis and is site-based.
The Company
We are working with an engineering company specialising in managing complex infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on nuclear energy, renewable energy, and digital transformation solutions.
The Role:
This role is for a Senior Design Engineer - someone ambitious and ready to make an impact. You will be results-oriented and driven to succeed. You will be leading a small, experienced, and collaborative team, and be responsible for:
- Design new engineering components and assemblies
- Produce models and drawings of components and assemblies using CAD systems
- Research new product ideas and methods
- Improve existing products and processes
- Alter and modify the design
- Present concept and final designs to customers
The Individual
We are looking for people who can show:
- Nuclear sector background or other highly regulated industry sectors.
- High degree of knowledge around Design for Manufacture
- Familiarity with 3D CAD systems (Siemens NX or similar) for model creation and drawing creation
- Familiarity with PLM systems (Teamcentre or similar)
- Professional qualification in an engineering-related field
- SC Clearance or capable of achieving it.
