World Class Defence Organisation based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire is currently looking to recruit a RF Seeker Modelling and Performance Lead subcontractor on an initial 12-month contract.  \\n \\nRate: £85 per hour\\nOvertime Rate: Hours worked over the standard 37 hours per week, will be paid at ‘time and a quarter’\\nLocation: Stevenage \\nHybrid / Remote working: Due to the sensitive nature of the work it is predominantly done onsite but there is some flexibility depending on project.\\nDuration: 12 Months with very likely extension. Contracts are often ongoing and long-term thereafter \\nIR35 status: Inside IR35 (Umbrella)\\nInterview process: One stage video interview process \\n \\nRF Seeker Modelling and Performance Lead Job Description:\\n \\nThe department are looking for an experienced modelling lead to cover a RF seeker Head of Modelling and Performance role during parental leave.
The model includes the seeker hardware, digital processing and target environment. The modelling team is responsible for developing the model, producing auto-code, generating seeker performance predictions and interfacing the seeker model into the missile dynamic reference model. The role will lead the combined efforts of a modelling team and an algorithms team.\\n\\nResponsibilities:\\n\\nLead the technical development of the Seeker performance model and algorithms\\n • Own the delivery of coherent and complete performance models to the missile systems team\\n • Provide day-to-day line management for team leads within the wider modelling and performance team\\n • Oversight of modelling processes in Matlab and Simulink using model-based design techniques\\n • Manage stakeholders with the wider missile community and represent the overall seeker team when required\\n • Manage the programmatics for the seeker modelling and algorithm work package– including budgets, risks and opportunities\\n • Share best practise across the programme to ensure efficient, coherent and clear model deliveries in to high profile missile programmes\\n Skillset/experience required:\\n\\nTools:\\n\\nSimulink\\n • Matlab\\n Skills:\\n\\nTeam leadership\\n • Stakeholder management\\n • Technical work package management\\n • Complex system modelling\\n • RF experience (desirable)\\n • Technical report writing and review\\n • Model delivery experience
