Project Manager Powertrain Systems
Warwickshire
£27 per hour
Initially 6-month contract

Certain Advantage is partnering with a leading automotive company to recruit a highly capable Vehicle Systems Test Lead. This is a dynamic role supporting the development, validation, and continuous improvement of vehicle test systems in a highly technical lab environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead sprint planning and KPI reviews to ensure timely project delivery.
- Promote Agile principles and Scrum values across the team.
- Design and deliver system test rigs that meet engineering requirements and First Time Right targets.
- Translate testing requirements into detailed system architecture and hardware specifications.
- Maintain documentation to meet audit and compliance standards (IATF 16949, ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
- Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentor and support junior engineers in Agile methodologies and technical development.
- Collaborate closely with operations and design teams to ensure a smooth handover of system designs.
- Proactively escalate blockers and maintain up-to-date progress tracking using tools like JIRA.
Your Background:
- Proven experience delivering complex system designs in an Agile or Scrum environment.
- Strong understanding of automotive systems especially electrified powertrains, HIL simulation, and electrical networks.
- Ability to break down technical challenges and lead cross-functional collaboration.
- Hands-on experience with instrumentation, voltage measurement, and thermal systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Visio; strong documentation and process discipline.
- Certified Scrum Master or experience leading Agile ceremonies.
- Six Sigma or equivalent problem-solving certification.
- Experience with automotive standards and regulatory compliance.
