About the Role
As Product Wordings & Documentation Manager, you’ll be the subject matter expert for all product and policy wordings. From member-facing literature to complex policy terms and T&Cs, you’ll take full ownership, ensuring every document is clear, compliant, and commercially sound.
This is a role with genuine scope and real impact. You\'ll collaborate closely with teams across Legal, Compliance, Risk, Marketing, and Underwriting, playing a key part in product development, governance, and strategic initiatives. Your input will help shape key decisions and influence outcomes across the entire MDDUS Group.

Key Responsibilities
- Own and lead all product and policy documentation, including insurance wordings, discretionary wordings, member literature, and proposal forms
- Draft, review, and update all wordings, ensuring clarity, consistency, and compliance
- Act as the go-to expert for wording advice, offering commercial and technical input to Underwriters, Legal, and the wider team
- Maintain a robust document library and knowledge base for internal and external use
- Evaluate existing literature against market expectations and member needs, recommending improvements and enhancements
- Work cross-functionally to support product development and member communication
- Lead internal training on new product launches and wording changes
- Support the development and management of third-party products and services
- Play a key role in innovation projects and the ongoing modernisation of products, tools, and processes
You’ll bring:
- Experience in insurance wordings, underwriting support, or policy documentation
- Strong understanding of insurance contract law and consumer duty
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex concepts into plain English
- A consistent track record in ownership and delivery
- A proactive, collaborative mindset and a high attention to detail
- Medical malpractice experience is a bonus, but not essential.
