Mechanical Handling Engineers Certain Advantage is hiring for Mechanical Handling Engineers based in the Southwest area. This role is on a permanent basis and is hybrid-based.
The Company: We are working with an engineering company specialising in solving complex engineering challenges across industries from Power Generation, Rail and more.
The Role: This role is for a Mechanical Engineer, someone ambitious and ready to make an impact. Working collaboratively with the Customer within the Mechanical Handling and Building Services teams to provide technical support on non-nuclear and nuclear mechanical handling assets and facilities within the site. Supporting the Mechanical Engineering lead in key delivery projects. Providing technical support to the ongoing operations and maintenance of DRDL's extant mechanical handling assets.
The Individual: We are looking for people who can show:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Relevant mechanical engineering experience in a highly regulated industry.
- Knowledge and awareness of cranes, crane safety and associated mechanical handling systems.
- Proficiency in the production of electrical/mechanical engineering drawings.
- Proficiency in the production of hand calculations/FEA.
- Experience in the design process and producing evidence of the design and substantiation of systems and components.
The Benefits: Salary circa £50,000 per annum, Training and Development, Career progression.
