Certain Advantage is hiring for a Surface Technology Specialist based in the Filton area. This role is on a contract basis and is hybrid-based.
The Company: We’re working with a Manufacturing business that operates in the Aerospace sector. They design, manufacture and deliver industry-leading commercial aircraft, and have a separate Space and Defense division.
The Role: This role is for a Surface Technology Specialist/Materials Engineer—someone ambitious and ready to make an impact. You’ll be results-oriented and driven to succeed. You’ll be working in a small, experienced, and collaborative team, and be responsible for:
- Developing and deploying Materials, Processes and Test Technologies
- Providing corrosion protection, sealing concepts and solutions
- Ensuring reactive support for improvement projects
- Ensuring EHS regulations (REACh) thanks to eco-efficient materials and processes
- Adapting corrosion protection and sealing principles to a chromate-free environment.
The Individual: We’re looking for people who can show:
- Material Science, Chemistry, Chemical, Material Engineering or a similar field of expertise
- Relevant background in corrosion protection and surface technology applied in the aerospace industry
- Relevant background in aerospace materials, surface treatments, coatings, and sealants and manufacturing
