You’ll support mechanical handling and building services projects across nuclear and non-nuclear facilities, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operation of cranes, lifting equipment, and maintenance assets.\\n \\nWhat will you be doing? \\n\\nSupport the Mechanical Engineering Lead with design, maintenance, and modification of mechanical handling systems.\\nScope and deliver mechanical designs and upgrades across the full project lifecycle.\\nMaintain technical documentation, drawings, and compliance records.\\nCollaborate across disciplines during installation, commissioning, and testing phases.\\nProvide technical input to risk assessments and progress reports. \\nA couple of things you should know:\\n\\nDegree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s or CEng preferred).\\n3+ years’ experience in a regulated industry (nuclear, defence, maritime, infrastructure, or oil & gas).\\nKnowledge of cranes, lifting systems, and mechanical building services.\\nSkilled in mechanical design, FEA, and interpreting engineering drawings.\\nExcellent communication and problem-solving skills. \\nDuring an interview, you may be asked about:\\n\\nYour experience of cranes/lifting equipment and crane operations, especially safety critical and safety related systems.\\nYour knowledge of electrical/mechanical/hydraulic systems as typical to cranes and hauling equipment\\nKnowledge of mechanical building services, including HVAC, compressed air, water systems and thermal/fluid systems \\nSounds like you?
