Certain Advantage is hiring for Mechanical Handling Engineers based in the Southwest area.
This role is on a permanent basis and is hybrid-based.

The Role:
This role is for a Mechanical Engineersomeone ambitious and ready to make an impact. Youll be results-oriented and driven to succeed.
Youll be leading a small, experienced, and collaborative team, and be responsible for:

  • Working collaboratively with the Customer within the Mechanical Handling and Building Services teams to provide technical support on non-nuclear and nuclear mechanical handling assets and facilities within the site.
  • Supporting the Mechanical Engineering lead in key delivery projects.
  • Providing technical support to the ongoing operations and maintenance of DRDL’s extant mechanical handling assets

The Individual
Were looking for people who can show:

  • Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Relevant mechanical engineering experience in a highly regulated industry
  • Knowledge and awareness of cranes, crane safety and associated mechanical handling systems
  • Proficiency in the production of electrical/mechanical engineering drawings
  • Proficiency in the production of hand calculations/FEA
  • Experience in the design process and producing evidence of the design and substantiation of systems and components.
