Job Title: Assembly TechnicianJob Type: Full-Time – 18-Month Fixed-Term ContractAbout the Role My client looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Assembly Technician to join their fast-paced manufacturing team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for assembling products from PCB level through to sub-assembly and final build, while ensuring all work aligns with engineering specifications and quality standards. This position plays a key part in upholding the excellence of our products and is ideal for someone with a meticulous approach and strong technical skills.Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble product components from PCB to final unit build, following detailed engineering drawings.
  • Use wiring schedules and measurement tools (e.g., multimeters) to verify assemblies.
  • Report any design or specification discrepancies to Cell Coordinators, Department Managers, or the Production Engineering team.
  • Ensure compliance with quality procedures and project timelines, logging all activity in the Company ERP system.
  • Raise non-conformance documentation (Observation Reports, ECRs) as required.
  • Work collaboratively with departments such as Production Engineering, Stores, and Quality to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Support team members to help ensure projects are completed on schedule.
  • Keep accurate records and follow all administrative processes in the Manufacturing Department.
  • Use company IT systems (Intranet, ERP) for daily tasks like part checks and stock lookups.

Skills & ExperienceEssential:

  • Ability to understand and work from engineering drawings.
  • Practical experience in assembly work, including soldering and crimping.
  • Competence in using production tools such as soldering irons and crimping equipment.
  • Strong digital skills and the ability to navigate IT systems.

Desirable:

  • Experience with surface mount technology (SMT).
