We are delighted to have been retained by OneRen to support the appointment of a new Learning & Development Business Partner, who will play a pivotal role in transforming how learning, performance and workforce capability are embedded across this evolving organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to influence organisation-wide development initiatives, lead meaningful culture change, and design innovative learning solutions that make a measurable difference to employee experience and operational excellence.

The Organisation

OneRen is one of Scotland's most ambitious cultural and leisure charities, delivering services to around 3 million customers each year across libraries, museums, leisure facilities and community venues. The organisation is entering a defining period, including the delivery of Scotland's largest cultural heritage project, the reopening of the Paisley Museum Reimagined, alongside a broader programme of commercial growth and long-term financial sustainability.

The Opportunity

Working as part of a progressive People team, you will partner with leaders across OneRen to design and deliver impactful learning and organisational development initiatives. You'll help create a culture where continuous learning, performance development and leadership capability are at the heart of the employee experience. This role offers genuine variety and strategic influence, from developing leadership programmes and behavioural frameworks, to enhancing onboarding journeys, driving digital learning engagement and supporting workforce readiness for major operational projects and new service launches.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Shape and embed a modern performance development approach aligned to organisational goals
  • Develop engaging blended learning solutions using digital, virtual and face-to-face delivery methods
  • Lead innovative leadership, management and behavioural development programmes
  • Drive organisational learning culture and capability planning
  • Enhance employee onboarding and induction experiences
  • Influence organisational readiness for large-scale projects and operational launches
  • Maximise engagement with digital learning platforms and learning technologies
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to identify workforce capability gaps and implement targeted development solutions

About You

You’ll be a creative and commercially aware L&D professional who thrives on building relationships, influencing stakeholders and delivering practical learning solutions that improve organisational performance. You will bring:

  • Proven experience in a Learning & Development or Organisational Development role
  • Strong experience designing and delivering blended learning programmes
  • The ability to influence and coach stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership
  • Experience supporting performance management and talent development initiatives
  • Excellent facilitation, communication and storytelling skills
  • A collaborative and innovative mindset with strong project management capability
  • Experience using digital learning platforms/LMS systems
  • A passion for creating engaging employee development experiences that drive real impact
