Certain Advantage is hiring for Stress Engineers based in the Derby area. Those roles are on a permanent basis and are hybrid-based.

The Role:
This role is for a Stress Engineer—someone ambitious and ready to make an impact. You’ll be results-oriented and driven to succeed. You’ll be leading a small, experienced, and collaborative team, and be responsible for:
- Leading stress and structural integrity assessments using modern techniques
- FE analysis (strength, fatigue, defects, lifetime assessments)
- Apply ASME III / ASME VIII, API-579, BS7910, BS7608, R4/R5/R6 codes
The Individual
We’re looking for people who can show:
- Degree in engineering + Chartered Engineer (CEng).
- Stress assessments in the nuclear sector.
- ABAQUS (or ANSYS, LS-Dyna, etc.).
- Altair Hyperworks or similar tools.
- Coding and scripting using languages such as Python.
