Production Engineer based in Derby. This role is on a permanent basis and is primarily site-based, supporting workshop and operational teams.
Are you a Production Engineer or similar, with experience in Rail or Heavy Engineering, looking to play a hands-on role supporting Engineering and Production teams for the maintenance, overhaul, and modification of rolling stock, within a successful and dynamic business? The Role:
- Support engineering delivery across freight and passenger vehicles.
- Provide engineering support for maintenance, overhaul, and modification of rolling stock, with a focus on bogies and associated systems.
- Produce clear engineering work instructions, procedures, and technical documentation.
- Respond to technical queries from workshop and production teams, offering practical solutions.
- Develop and maintain Bills of Materials for engineering activities.
- Support fault finding and root cause analysis on rolling stock components.
- Ensure all engineering work complies with rail standards and safety requirements.
- Work closely with production teams to deliver safe, practical engineering solutions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement across production and engineering processes.
Experience required:
- Supporting workshop or production environments.
- Producing engineering documentation and work instructions.
- Background in Rail, or Heavy Engineering / Production.
