Bristol, Bath or South West England (Hybrid / Remote)

Salary: £40,000 - £41,000 + £4k Car Allowance + Training + Development + Progression + Company Benefits + Bonus

Certain Advantage is hiring for a Structures Estimator based in the UK (preferably South West). This role is on a permanent basis and offers a remote / hybrid working pattern, with occasional travel to offices in Northfleet or Chesterfield, and client sites.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected specialist delivering difficult access, rope access, concrete repair and structural refurbishment works across buildings, infrastructure and industrial sites.

The Company: We are working with a leading UK specialist in structural maintenance and refurbishment. The business delivers challenging assignments nationwide, involving rope access, facade works, concrete repair and complex structural interventions. This includes notable projects across football stadiums, Wembley, and the Natural History Museum. The company is part of a larger multidisciplinary engineering group, offering strong internal resources, stability and a friendly, collaborative culture.

The Role: This role is suited to an estimator with a commercial mindset and a strong understanding of construction or civil engineering projects.

  • Manage estimating activities from enquiry through to job win or close out, on a range of challenging structural projects
  • Prepare tenders, proposals and offer letters based on client requirements
  • Attend site visits and client meetings to support accurate pricing
  • Produce tender documentation including basic programmes and health and safety information
  • Work closely with the operations and commercial teams
  • Prepare full handover information for awarded projects and chair handover meetings
  • Seek continuous improvement and identify cost saving opportunities for both the client and the organisation

The Individual: We are looking for someone who can show:

  • A strong understanding of construction or civil engineering projects
  • Commercial awareness and excellent attention to detail
  • Ideally some experience with steel and concrete repair or maintenance works
  • Good communication skills and confidence working with clients
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tenders
