Key Responsibilities

  • Providing first-line and escalated ER advice to managers on complex and sensitive issues
  • Managing ER cases end-to-end, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance, wellbeing and conduct matters
  • Supporting Employment Tribunal processes, including early conciliation, ET responses, witness statements, evidence preparation and hearing support
  • Assisting with the drafting and negotiation of settlement agreements
  • Contributing to organisational change activity such as restructures, redundancies, redeployment, TUPE and harmonisation programmes
  • Working collaboratively with HR Business Partners and stakeholders across multiple business functions
  • Reviewing, maintaining and updating HR policies and employee documentation to ensure legal compliance and best practice
  • Analysing ER data to identify trends, mitigate risk and improve processes
  • Promoting efficient, consistent and people-centred ER practices across the organisation

  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law (including Equality Act and Employment Rights Act), with exposure to Northern Ireland or ROI legislation being advantageous
  • Confidence influencing and advising managers at all levels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Experience background:

  • 2+ years’ ER specialist experience in a fast-paced sector
  • OR 4+ years’ experience in a HR generalist role
