Contract inside IR35 paying up to £65 per hour (Umbrella before deductions). Certain Advantage are recruiting on behalf of our world leading defence client for an experienced Electronics Design Engineer / Production Support Engineer to take on the role of Test Design Support Engineer at their site in Greater Manchester.
Ideal Electronics Engineering candidates will come from a background in designing products/systems and/or providing support to designs through the manufacturing phase of the product lifecycle. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced Electronic Design Engineers to play a leading role in the support of production activities at a state of the art manufacturing facility, where you'll see designs coming to life in the manufacturing environment.
You will act as the interface between our design teams and our manufacturing teams while working alongside other support engineers to provide knowledge and support. The primary aim is focused on highly advanced module missile programmes and subsystems, but there is also scope to work on other unique opportunities including support to launcher assemblies.
This is a unique opportunity presenting you with a true engineering challenge in an organisation that can provide scope for personal growth and development in other areas of electronics.
Degree qualified (or equivalent industry experience) with experience of designing product/systems and/or providing support to designs through the manufacturing phase of the product lifecycle. Proven experience in the design of one or more of the following disciplines:
- Digital and Analogue electronics
- Power Electronics
- Safety Electronics
- Schematic design
- PCB Design
Excellent verbal communication, negotiation and influencing skills with the capability to write clear and concise engineering documentation. Experience in supporting manufacturing and resolving manufacturing issues is an advantage, but not essential. Investigative skills to be able to find root causes of design related issues and propose robust corrective actions.
