Stress Engineer South West, UKVirtual interview Mon Fri Certain Advantage is partnering with a key client to recruit a Stress Engineer.
Youll be responsible for delivering structural and stress analysis packages for a wide range of marine mechanical and hybrid structures.
Lead end-to-end analysis packages, from initial scoping through to final delivery and presentation.
Maintain accurate, high-quality documentation, including drawings and analysis records.
Experience in structural or stress analysis within maritime, defence, industrial, or other regulated sectors.
Strong understanding of mechanical structures, load paths, and material behaviour.
Ability to evaluate ageing or degraded structures and apply sound engineering judgement in the presence of incomplete data.
Proficient in structural hand calculations, analytical methods, and finite element analysis (FEA) tools.
Your experience in Defence, Marine, or safety-critical environments.
Your familiarity with marine degradation mechanisms such as corrosion, fatigue and long-termmaterial behaviour.
