We are hiring for a Senior Electrical Control & Instrumentation Engineer based in the Southwest area. This role is on a permanent basis and is site-based.
The Company: We are working with an engineering company specialising in solving complex engineering challenges across industries from Power Generation, Rail and more.
The Role: This role is for a Senior Electrical Control & Instrumentation Engineer - someone ambitious and ready to make an impact. You will be results-oriented and driven to succeed. You will be leading a small, experienced, and collaborative team, and be responsible for:
- Technical leadership on control and instrumentation systems
- Supporting asset lifecycle management
- Developing modifications and upgrades
- Ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory and operational requirements
The Individual: We are looking for people who can show:
- Degree in Control & Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline
- C&I engineering within a highly regulated industry
- Industrial control systems, PLCs, SCADA, instrumentation and functional safety
- Producing and reviewing engineering calculations, specifications and design documentation
Desirable Attributes:
- Understanding of safety-critical environments and regulatory compliance requirements
- Experience with IEC 61508/61511 functional safety standards
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience working in defence, energy, infrastructure or process industries
