World Class Defence Organisation is currently looking to recruit 2x Systems Design Engineer subcontractors on an initial 12 month contract. Check below to see if you have what is needed for this opportunity, and if so, make an application asap.

  • Rate: £80.00 per hour
  • Overtime Rate: Hours worked over the standard 37 hours per week, will be paid at time and a quarter
  • Location: The role can be based either from the companies Stevenage, Bolton or Bristol sites
  • Hybrid / Remote working: circa 4 days onsite (more remote working may be possible)
  • Duration: 12 Months with very likely extension. Contracts are often ongoing and long-term thereafter
  • IR35 status: Inside IR35 (Umbrella)
  • Interview process: One stage video interview

Responsibilities:

  • Working as part of team developing system architecture and design utilising MBSE.
  • Deriving and managing requirements
  • Communicating with various stakeholders with the Seeker team and the external customer and suppliers
  • Developing Physical and Functional Architecture using SysML techniques.
  • Developing Seeker Functional and Operational function and design.

Skillset/experience required:

  • Experience with deriving and managing requirements
  • Experience with generating Functional and Physical Architecture using SysML, ARCADIA, or similar MBSE language
  • Experience dissecting and understanding customer requirements and disseminating them down into lower-level subsystem requirements and complex functional architectures
  • Consistent ability to deliver required output within agreed timescales
  • Skill in cultivating strong relationships with colleagues, external departments and customers
  • Experience with Model based Systems Engineering
  • Experience with Systems engineering tools like DOORS / DOORS Next / Rhapsody / Capella desirable
  • Experience with MATLAB and Simulink desirable
  • Knowledge of RF/microwave and electronic systems, radar and control systems, and digital signal processing is desirable
