Hours: 35 per week, worked across 4.5 days (between 7am–7pm)

The Opportunity:

A major aerospace organisation is seeking an experienced Supply Chain & Quality Manager to join its team onsite at a key engine-manufacturing facility in Derby. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused position supporting operational performance, supply chain robustness, and quality governance across a complex, fast-moving industrial environment. This role is ideal for someone who has previously worked within large aerospace or engineering environments and thrives in stakeholder-rich settings where communication, problem-solving, and operational oversight are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supply Chain Management
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure delivery, quality, and operational commitments are met.
  • Conduct load and capacity assessments to identify constraints.
  • Lead rate readiness and industrial maturity reviews.
  • Manage supply chain intelligence and escalation when required.
  • Oversee transfer-of-work activities and industrialisation linked to design changes.
  • Quality Management
    • Drive correction activities including non-conformity eradication, concessions, SARI/QSR actions, and event management.
    • Implement preventative approaches such as APQP and Supplier Quality Improvement Plans (SQIP).
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Risk Management
    • Identify and assess operational and supply chain risks.
    • Build and execute mitigation plans.
    • Ensure effective governance and programme visibility.

    What You’ll Bring:

    • Strong background in aerospace, complex engineering, or industrial manufacturing.
    • Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills.
    • Experience in practical problem-solving, recovery/crisis management, and data-driven reporting.
    • Understanding of supply chain, manufacturing engineering, and quality principles.
    • Project management experience is beneficial.
