Certain Advantage is working in partnership with a leading aerospace organisation seeking a Design Approver to provide high-quality design support to Plant Manufacturing and ensure robust, production-ready solutions.
What will you be doing?
- Lead design investigations and deliver integrated technical solutions for design changes, query notes and flow modifications, ensuring compliance with design, airworthiness and safety requirements.
- Act as a recognised design signatory and focal point for structural design, governance and optimisation of solutions for manufacture.
- Guide, review and approve design solutions, working closely with Manufacturing Engineering and wider plant stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement in methods and processes, embedding lessons learned to improve team efficiency.
- Mentor engineers, support skills development and promote a strong MEET (Manufacturing Engineering and Engineering Together) culture.
- Build effective relationships with CVE, Chief Engineer, Configuration Management and Programme teams to secure smooth implementation of design changes.

- Proven ability to deliver design solutions to time, cost and quality in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication skills, able to simplify complex topics and engage confidently with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Proactive, resilient mindset with the ability to identify and manage risks and opportunities.
- Industry-recognised design signatory/authorisation (or clear eligibility to obtain it).
