Certain Advantage is hiring for a Structures Test Technologist based in Filton. This role is on a contract basis and is office-based.

The Company: We’re working with a Manufacturing business that operates in the Aerospace sector. They design, manufacture and deliver industry-leading commercial aircraft, and have a separate Space and Defense division.

The Role: This role is for a Structures Test Technologist — someone ambitious and ready to make an impact. You’ll be results-orientated and driven to succeed. You’ll be working in a small, experienced, and collaborative team, and be responsible for:

  • Critical structural tests.
  • Design and setup of the control and data acquisition systems of the test.
  • Design and setup of hydraulic loading systems for test rigs.
  • Calibration of equipment.

The Individual: We’re looking for people who can show:

  • Education (or equivalent proven experience) in mechanical engineering or a related discipline (e.g. Aerospace, Structures, Materials, Systems, Physics).
  • Project Management & delivery.
  • One of the following disciplines: Aeronautical structures, control systems, structural testing.
  • Track record of working with Structures, materials or systems.
