Business Account Manager West Norfolk Fixed Term – 8 month contract Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 + Company Car: Vehicle or £670 monthly allowance (£690 from April 1st) Benefits: 20 days annual leave (pro-rata) plus bank holidays, pension (3% employer, 5% employee), Employee Assistance Programme Role Overview You will be responsible for developing and maintaining key business relationships to drive sales and profitability for a leading company in the food manufacturing sector. This role involves managing strategic customer accounts, implementing annual sales plans, and contributing to the overall commercial strategy. The successful candidate will possess strong account management skills and commercial acumen to enhance the distribution and sales of the company's products. Key Responsibilities: Manage and develop key customer accounts. Build strong relationships with buyers, supply chain, and technical teams. Lead negotiations and margin monitoring. Drive NPD initiatives, from market research to project management. Ensure optimal stock levels and supply chain efficiency. Analyze weekly forecasts and financial data, taking action to enhance margins. Provide insights on market trends, customer demands, and category performance. Manage customer rebates in SAP to ensure accurate accruals. Support customer technical managers to align business requests. Conduct regular strategic account reviews and pricing evaluations.Key Outputs & Performance Indicators: Achievement of sales, spend, and profit targets. Successful execution of NPD and customer account plans. High levels of customer satisfaction and retention. Accurate forecasting and inventory management. New business growth and market expansion.Person Specification Essential Skills & Experience: Proven experience in national account management within food service, retail, or FMCG. Strong negotiation and relationship management skills. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel. Experience in forecasting and NPD project management. Commercially aware with strong analytical skills. Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving abilities. Resilient, self-motivated, and results-driven.Desirable Skills & Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Sales & Account Management (ISMM). SAP experience.
