A Project Engineer is required in Bristol, offering up to £40.43 per hour for an initial 12-month contract. The role involves providing fit-for-purpose engineering solutions for projects and ensuring that design authority standards and configuration control are applied appropriately.

  • Determine and capture functional requirements along with stakeholder expectations for allocated projects.
  • Assist in developing the Project Execution Plan, including approaches for design, safety case development, and commissioning.
  • Contribute to the evaluation and selection of project options.
  • Produce conceptual designs and deliver practical, fit-for-purpose engineering solutions.
  • Review and approve contractors’ technical documentation, such as method statements, work instructions, and risk assessments.

Requirements include:

  • Background in nuclear and/or conventional engineering project environments.
  • Familiarity with applicable company and/or national engineering standards.
  • Understanding of Safety Rules and practical application of risk assessment techniques.
  • Awareness of Site Licence conditions and Quality Management System expectations.
  • Experience in contract management.
  • Proven involvement in delivering engineering projects.
