Project Engineer – Mechanical
Bristol
Up to £40.43 per hour, initially 12 months

Certain Advantage is partnering with a key nuclear client to recruit a Project Engineer. You’ll provide fit-for-purpose engineering solutions for projects or engineering support on more complex projects and ensure that design authority standards and configuration control are applied appropriately.
- Determine and capture functional requirements along with stakeholder expectations for allocated projects.
- Assist in developing the Project Execution Plan, including approaches for design, safety case development, and commissioning.
- Contribute to the evaluation and selection of project options.
- Produce conceptual designs and deliver practical, fit-for-purpose engineering solutions.
- Review and approve contractors’ technical documentation, such as method statements, work instructions, and risk assessments.
Background in nuclear and/or conventional engineering project environments.
- Familiarity with applicable company and/or national engineering standards.
- Understanding of Safety Rules and practical application of risk assessment techniques.
- Aware of Site Licence conditions and Quality Management System expectations.
- Experience in contract management.
- Proven involvement in delivering engineering projects.
