Certain Advantage is hiring for a Lead FEM Engineer based in the Filton area. This role is on a contract basis and is hybrid-based.

The Company: We are working with a Manufacturing business that operates in the Aerospace sector. They design, manufacture and deliver industry-leading commercial aircraft, and a separate Space and Defence division.

The Role: This role is for a Lead FEM Engineer, someone ambitious and ready to make an impact. You will be results-orientated and driven to succeed. You will be working in a small, experienced, and collaborative team, and be responsible for:

  • Support the development of GFEM and DFEM projects across all Programmes
  • Analyse and Validate FE and Stress data
  • Deliver digital solutions to optimise Wing structure enablement processes

The Individual: We are looking for people who can show:

  • Educated to degree level in Aerospace Engineering
  • Knowledge and experience with FEM tools, i.e. Hyperwork, Hypermesh and MSC Nastran
  • Experience with the idealisation of Wing component structure with Finite Element Methodology
  • ISAMI competent user is an advantage
  • FEM Signature delegation is an added advantage
  • Knowledge and experience with UNIX-based platforms is an advantage
