What You\’ll Be Doing:
My client is looking for an enthusiastic and driven Assistant Management Accountant to join their Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering timely, accurate monthly management accounts and supporting the wider business with financial insight.
What You\’ll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
Assist with the preparation and reporting of subsidiary and Group management accounts.
Support month-end close, including cashbook, sales, purchase and nominal ledgers.
Maintain and reconcile fuel stock, fuel card usage, fixed asset, and HP registers.
Prepare monthly journals and post payroll and expenses from Sage Payroll to Opera 3 SE.
Conduct variance analysis for Agency Labour, Plant Hire, Overheads and Trade Waste Operations.
Produce MI and analysis including sales and profit reports for senior management.
Assist with budgets, forecasts, and audit preparation.
Provide holiday cover for weekly payroll processing and support ledger and credit control teams when required.What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is:
Part qualified accountant with recent experience in finance processes and reporting.
Highly proficient in Excel with strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
A great communicator who can explain financial information clearly to finance and non-finance colleagues.
Organised, detail-oriented, and able to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
Proactive and committed to continuously improving processes.
Experience in high-growth companies, knowledge of VAT/corporation tax, and Power BI skills are a bonus.What We Offer:
