Certain Advantage is hiring for an AIT Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) Engineer based in the Stevenage area.
This role is on a contract basis and is site-based.

We’re working with a Manufacturing business that operates in the Aerospace sector. They design, manufacture and deliver industry-leading commercial aircraft, and separate Space and Defence division.

The Role:
This role is for an AIT Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) Engineer —someone ambitious and ready to make an impact. You’ll be results-orientated and driven to succeed.
You’ll be working in a small, experienced, and collaborative team, and be responsible for:

  • Maintenance and fault finding of electronic/RF test racks.
  • Computer systems and networks administration.
  • Programming and scripting languages.
  • Environmental and launch test campaign.
  • Preparing test specifications for test racks, reviewing data packs from suppliers, and supporting reviews of test equipment design and non-conformances.

The Individual We’re looking for people who can show:

  • A degree in an Electrical Engineering related discipline or relevant experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of electronic and RF test racks
  • Fault-finding skills down to board and component level.
  • Network and computer administration in Windows and Linux environments
  • Knowledge of interfaces such as Mil-1553, SpaceWire, CAN bus, RS232/422, etc.
  • ATE environments such as PCI, VXI, PXI, etc.
  • Use of a variety of general-purpose lab test equipment
  • Knowledge, design, manufacture, and commissioning of test systems.
