Certain Advantage is hiring for an AIT Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) Engineer based in the Stevenage area.
This role is on a contract basis and is site-based.

We’re working with a Manufacturing business that operates in the Aerospace sector. They design, manufacture and deliver industry-leading commercial aircraft, and separate Space and Defence division.

The Role:
This role is for an AIT Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) Engineer —someone ambitious and ready to make an impact. You’ll be results-orientated and driven to succeed.
You’ll be working in a small, experienced, and collaborative team, and be responsible for:

Maintenance and fault finding of electronic/RF test racks.
Computer systems and networks administration.
Programming and scripting languages.
Environmental and launch test campaign.
Preparing test specifications for test racks, reviewing data packs from suppliers, and supporting reviews of test equipment design and non-conformances.The Individual We’re looking for people who can show:

A degree in an Electrical Engineering related discipline or relevant experience in a similar role
Knowledge of electronic and RF test racks
Fault-finding skills down to board and component level.
Network and computer administration in Windows and Linux environments
Knowledge of interfaces such as Mil-1553, SpaceWire, CAN bus, RS232/422, etc.
ATE environments such as PCI, VXI, PXI, etc.
Use of a variety of general-purpose lab test equipment
Knowledge, design, manufacture, and commissioning of test systems.The Benefits:
