Overview
A leading professional services organisation is seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to support day-to-day financial operations within a busy finance team. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, detail-focused and committed to delivering excellent service to both internal stakeholders and external clients.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the firm’s financial processes, supporting compliance, and contributing to the effective management of client and office accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Process purchase invoices, fee notes and cheques
Manage payments of client funds and supplier invoices
Perform daily bank reconciliations
Respond to fee earner finance queries promptly and professionally
Assist with monthly financial analysis
Prepare regular management reports
Identify and recommend process improvements
Ensure compliance with Law Society regulations and internal financial controls
Support the wider finance team with ad-hoc tasks and administrative dutiesSkills, Experience & Competencies Required
