We are seeking an experienced 66kV Senior Authorised Person (SAP) for a major offshore wind project in Taiwan. This role is focused on the construction and commissioning phases, specifically supporting high-voltage operations within the turbine transition pieces and towers. As a technical lead on-site, you will be responsible for managing safety-from-the-system during the termination, testing, and energization of the Siemens 8VM1 Blue GIS switchgear.
Key Responsibilities
- Switchgear Operations: Perform switching, isolation, and earthing duties specifically on Siemens 8VM1 (66kV) vacuum-insulated switchgear.
- Safety Management: Act as the primary authority for issuing and cancelling safety documents, including Permits to Work (PTW), Sanctions for Test (SFT), and Limitation of Access (LOA).
- Technical Support: Assist and oversee the 66kV cable terminations and testing teams to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Documentation: Author and review detailed Switching Schedules and Method Statements tailored to the offshore environment.
- Inspection: Conduct pre-energization inspections of HV assets to ensure the system is fit for purpose.
Requirements
- Technical Expertise: Proven experience as a 66kV SAP, with specific competency or training in Siemens 8VM1 switchgear (SF6-free/Clean Air technology).
- Industry Background: Minimum of 3 years' experience in the offshore wind sector, ideally during the commissioning or construction phase.
- Qualifications: Valid 66kV SAP Authorisation; Full suite of GWO certifications (Sea Survival, First Aid, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, Working at Heights); Valid Offshore Medical and HUET (Helicopter Underwater Escape Training).
- Language: Professional fluency in English is essential for safety documentation and coordination.
