Actively recruiting for a strong driven and experienced Construction Project Manager with experience in managing large or multiple infrastructure/capital construction projects. Located in Belfast on an initial 12 Month Contract, very likely to be extended.
With this role, you will take full ownership of end-to-end capital project delivery, ensuring projects are driven to completion on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards in line with business needs.
Your Responsibilities
- Identify capital projects, guiding design development across the complete delivery lifecycle, and overseeing final close-out, commissioning, and handover.
- Control project budgets, monitor expenditure, develop CAPEX business cases and cash flow projections, and approve payment certificates for external suppliers
- Liase with both internal and external—ensuring alignment across Architecture, Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural), Environmental, Archaeological, and Fire disciplines.
- Procure, manage, and direct diverse consultant expertise and construction service providers, ensuring strict conformance, compliance, and effective contract governance (utilising major forms such as NEC).
- Maintain robust risk/opportunity registers, escalate issues proactively, implement mitigation strategies, and uphold stringent health and safety standards across all site activities.
- Develop and maintain accurate project delivery plans, gateway reviews, and comprehensive status reporting.
Experience Required
- Experience managing large-scale or multiple infrastructure/capital construction projects, ideally within a complex client-side stakeholder environment.
- Understanding of the full construction lifecycle, construction delivery best practice, and major contract management forms (particularly NEC). Foundation-level knowledge of mechanical and electrical (M&E) building systems is essential.
- Be highly organised and proactive, with strong proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project and G-Suite, paired with excellent stakeholder communication skills.
Qualifications
- Relevant third-level credential in engineering, design, or construction project management
- Hands-on practical experience in construction/building services project management will also be considered.
