Cert solutions are working alongside a Special School in Brierley Hill. This school provides a place for pupils who have additional needs to learn and grow to the best of their ability. They have a range of age groups and are looking for a qualified and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant who will be confident working with a group of post 16 pupils. The ideal candidate will need to have prior experience with understanding challenging behaviour and be confident working with pupils with autism.
This role is full time from 8.30am-3.30pm and will require you to work term time only.
Responsibilities- Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN on a 1:1 and small-group basis
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Support pupils with academic, social, emotional, and behavioural needs
- Help create a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment
- A minimum Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject (e.g. Supporting Teaching and Learning, Childcare, Education, or SEN)
- Previous experience working in a school setting as a SEN Teaching Assistant
- A strong understanding of special educational needs
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting pupils with additional needs
