CERT Solutions have a fantastic new long term opportunity available at a Special School in West Bromwich. This school is a post 16 site meaning you will be working with pupils who are over the age of 16. You must have previous experience of working with pupils with complex needs. You must be confident and comfortable with personal care. This is a full time and long term position starting ASAP until the end of the academic year. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of a level 2 qualification in a relevant subject.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN on a 1:1 and small-group basis
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Support pupils with academic, social, emotional, and behavioural needs
- Help create a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment
Requirements
- A minimum Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject (e.g. Supporting Teaching and Learning, Childcare, Education, or SEN)
- Previous experience working in a school setting as a SEN Teaching Assistant
- A strong understanding of special educational needs
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting pupils with additional needs
CERT Solutions is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful applicant will be required to obtain an Enhanced Certificate of Disclosure from the DBS and be required to complete and pass Safeguarding and Prevent training level 2.
