We are currently looking for an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join the team at a school in West Bromwich. Working alongside the Site Manager, you will play an important role in ensuring the school site is safe, well maintained and running efficiently. You will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day running of the site and making sure all required tasks are completed to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the Site Manager with the day-to-day running and maintenance of the school site
- Ensuring all scheduled tasks and duties are completed efficiently and on time
- Carrying out general site maintenance and basic repairs where required
- Helping to ensure the school premises are clean, safe and secure
- Assisting with site checks and reporting any issues to the Site Manager
- Supporting contractors and visitors when required
- Helping to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors
- Taking responsibility for completing tasks independently when required
The Ideal Candidate
- Has previous experience working as an Assistant Site Manager, Site Manager, Caretaker or in a similar school/site-based role
- Is reliable, organised and able to work independently
- Has a practical, hands-on approach to maintenance and problem solving
- Is able to prioritise tasks and ensure work is completed to a high standard
- Has good communication skills and works well as part of a team
- Understands the importance of safeguarding and working within a school environment
- Is willing to undergo and obtain a full DBS check
Working Hours
This is a full-time, Monday to Friday position, with flexibility around working hours. The standard option is 10:00amβ6:00pm, Monday to Thursday, with an early 4:00pm finish on Fridays. Alternatively, split shifts can be considered for the right candidate, depending on preference and the school's requirements.
CERT Solutions is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful applicant will be required to obtain an Enhanced Certificate of Disclosure from the DBS and be required to complete and pass Safeguarding and Prevent training level 2.
