We are currently seeking strong, experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to join a dedicated team at a specialist school in Stourbridge. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with complex needs in a highly supportive and professional environment.
About the Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to support pupils with a range of severe and complex learning needs, including:
- Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
Pupils at the school range from Early Years through to post-16 (ages 3–19), and support is tailored to meet each individual’s educational, communication, sensory and personal care needs.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role
- Be confident supporting pupils with complex needs, including SLD, PMLD and autism
- Demonstrate patience, resilience and a genuinely caring approach
- Be comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Have a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- Be flexible, reliable and committed to making a positive impact
