CERT Solutions are working with a fantastic Alternative Provision in Wolverhampton (WV2) that are seeking to appoint a part time Teaching Assistant. This role will initially be working with Primary aged pupils on a Monday and Tuesday.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced TA who is passionate about supporting children with challenging behaviour and helping them re-engage with learning in a positive and structured environment.
The Role
- Supporting pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
- Confidently managing challenging behaviour using effective de-escalation strategies
- Working closely with teaching staff to provide consistent and nurturing support
- Helping to create a calm, safe, and engaging learning environment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN on a 1:1 and small-group basis
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Support pupils with academic, social, emotional, and behavioural needs
- Help create a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment
Requirements
- Minimum Level 2 qualification in a relevant subject (essential)
- Proven experience working with children who display challenging behaviour
- Confidence and competence in behaviour management and de-escalation procedures
- A SEN qualification or certification is highly desirable
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach with strong communication skills
These roles involve working closely with pupils who have special educational needs and additional learning needs, supporting them both in and out of the classroom to help them access learning and reach their full potential.
All rates are inclusive of holiday pay.
