The Role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced KS1 Primary School Teacher to join our welcoming and supportive team at a primary school in Sandwell. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners in a diverse and inclusive school environment. You will be responsible for teaching across Key Stage 1, and your main duties will include:
- Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons that meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND.
- Implementing effective behaviour management strategies to ensure a positive and productive classroom environment.
- Supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, and adapting teaching methods to meet individual learning requirements.
- Assessing and monitoring pupil progress, providing feedback to pupils and parents.
- Collaborating with colleagues, SENCO, and other professionals to support pupils with SEND.
What we are looking for
- Be a qualified teacher (QTS) with a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum.
- Have proven experience in teaching across KS1, with a passion for early childhood education.
- Demonstrate excellent behaviour management skills and a proactive approach to maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Have experience working with SEND pupils, with a solid understanding of the strategies and support needed to help these students succeed.
- Be confident, patient, and creative, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of children.
- Possess excellent communication skills and be a team player who can collaborate effectively with colleagues and parents.
