Cerisia Homes CIC is seeking a compassionate, reliable and dedicated Live-in Support Worker to join our Supported Accommodation service for young people aged 16–18.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people as they transition towards independence.

As a Live-in Support Worker, you will play a key role in creating a safe, stable and nurturing home environment while supporting young people to develop the practical and emotional skills needed for adult life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build positive, professional relationships with young people and provide consistent emotional support.
  • Support young people to develop independent living skills, including cooking, cleaning, budgeting, laundry, shopping and maintaining their accommodation.
  • Encourage and support engagement with education, employment and training.
  • Promote positive routines, healthy lifestyles and personal wellbeing.
  • Support young people to work towards their Pathway Plan goals and prepare for post-18 independence.
  • Carry out regular welfare checks and ensure the safety and wellbeing of all young people within the home.
  • Complete accurate daily recordings, key-work sessions, life skills records and incident reports.
  • Liaise with Social Workers, Personal Advisers, Education providers and other professionals.
  • Promote safeguarding, positive behaviour and appropriate boundaries at all times.
  • Support young people to access appointments, community activities and local services where appropriate.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming home environment in line with company standards.

About You

You will have

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to motivate and encourage young people towards positive outcomes.
  • Good organisational and written recording skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A sound understanding of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
  • Flexibility to meet the needs of the service.

Desirable

  • Experience working with young people aged 16–18 within Supported Accommodation, Leaving Care, Residential Childcare or Supported Living.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed practice and safeguarding.
  • A Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care or Children & Young People (or willingness to work towards one).
  • A full UK driving licence (desirable).
