Purpose of the role

In this role you will be a key member of the Legal team, independently managing a high volume of work and supporting delivery of the Legal function’s operational agenda in a fast‑paced, complex business environment. This hands‑on role will suit an experienced career paralegal who works autonomously, exercises sound judgement and takes ownership of delivery and outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting, reviewing and proofreading legal documents
  • Managing NDAs and routine contracts end‑to‑end
  • Maintaining contract and document management systems
  • Triage incoming legal requests
  • Attending meetings and tracking actions
  • Maintaining dashboards and intranet content
  • Contributing to wider Legal team efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives

Knowledge and skills required for the role

  • Demonstrable experience as a Paralegal within an in‑house legal team or similarly demanding environment
  • Formal paralegal or legal qualification (e.g. CILEx, paralegal diploma, apprenticeship or equivalent experience)
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver consistently in a fast‑paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail, with pride taken in producing consistently high‑quality work
  • Strong technology literacy and confidence using legal technology and systems, including Microsoft 365, document management and contract lifecycle tools
  • Exposure to legal operations initiatives (e.g., templates, playbooks, training materials, automation, dashboards or contract repositories) is highly desirable
  • In‑house legal experience is advantageous but not essential
