We are looking for a PA to assist in helping a client with severe memory and speech issues gain a little independence away from his family and provide them with a short break from the caring role.
To undertake short walks or trips out in the car to familiar places, also to provide companionship within the family home giving the family time out.
This could mean assisting him to dress or choose appropriate clothing for the occasion
Use of a car is essential.
The hours are to be worked flexibly as required and agreed in advance.
This post is funded through the Direct Payments scheme.
Main Duties: –

Support the client to complete daily living activities at home.

Support and encourage him with activities of interest, trips out and stimulating conversation etc.

The preparation of snacks and drinks may be required when on shift.

Support to complete walks around the local area

Support to access the community both with and independent of his family.

Support with attending appointments.

Any other reasonable duties requested from time to time.

Hourly Rate: £12 per hour plus milage allowance
Hours Offered: 24 hours over a 4-week period in blocks agreed in advance with the employer. (Extra hours available from time to time)
