About the role
Please note that the advertised salary for this position is subject to a pending pay award. The final salary will be adjusted in line with the nationally agreed pay award.
Are you an energetic and hardworking person, who takes pride in their work? We have an opportunity for a motivated caretaker to join our team to help ensure the school is a safe, welcoming, and purposeful environment for the children, staff, and visitors.
This job will include a variety of responsibilities regarding the school buildings and site, including health and safety, general maintenance of the whole site, and security.
We are looking for an individual who:
- Is practical and can implement the school’s systems and procedures.
- Takes pride in their work and can suggest improvements to the school’s environment.
- Demonstrates initiative while ensuring the site is safe and organised.
- Can follow risk assessments and create dynamic risk assessments when needed.
- Can contribute towards projects and maintenance schedules.
- Has good practical DIY skills.
- Can communicate effectively with all the school staff.
- Is a safe pair of hands ensuring the whole site security.
